Google Duo is available for iPads
After Android devices and the iPhone , Google has also
released its video chat app Duo for the iPad . It took just over two years
until the application also appeared for iPads. Google has made its video chat
app Duo available for iPads, as the company announced on Twitter . The app
Google Duo, with which you can make video calling with your friends and family,
is now optimized for Android tablets and iPads. The update will be rolled out
to everyone in the coming days, so it may take some time before it has arrived.
This also allows
users of Apple's tablets to call other users who use the application on their
Android smartphone or tablet or on an iPhone. Google Duo, the video provider
application of the search engine giant, has received an important update that
potentially allows more people to use the app. The software is namely optimized
for devices with larger screens, such as Android tablets and iPads.
According to Google, the entire Duo app has been optimized
for tablets. What that means is that there is support for both portrait and
landscape modes, and Google says the service should be easy to set up on
tablets, and easy to understand given the customized user interface. With
version 39 of the app, Google Duo can be downloaded from the App Store and
installed on iPads. Version 39 of Duo still hasn't landed on Android, so we
don't know if it will change things, but you can already benefit from tablet
support and a landscape interface on v38, which has been available for a while.
Google tweeted about Google Duo in twitter last night. It’s been two years since the launch of Duo, and not much
has changed for Google on the video chat front.

This is a useful update. But until starting a Duo call is as
easy as starting a regular phone call, people are going to keep to turning to
another app they have installed that their friends are already using, be it
Skype, Facebook Messenger, or something else.
After Android devices and the iPhone , Google has also
released its video chat app Duo for the iPad . It took just over two years
until the application also appeared for iPads. According to a tweet from
Google, the update is now being rolled out to all devices that are eligible for
the update. It can still take a few days before it has arrived at everyone,
because such an update is usually rolled out in phases.
With its simplicity and ease of use, Duo appeals to a wide
array of individuals. It’s not loaded with extra features like Skype and,
unlike FaceTime, it works across both major mobile operating systems.
In July 2018 Google duo had also Android tablets made
available - nearly two years after the release of Android smartphones and
iPhones so. Two more months have passed before Duo finally came to the iPads. With
Duo, users can make video calls with other users. The caller is already visible
before the call is accepted. If a caller is not available, a video message can
be left.
Once you have the update on your Android tablet or iPad, you
can always and everywhere, or at least when you have access to the Internet,
video calling with anyone who has the same application. Normally you would do
that via your smartphone, but now you can also use it on your tablet. The
rollout for the Google Duo update has already started on August 22, so you may
have already received the update. You can always check in the download store if
there is a newer version available.

Since Duo is supposed to replace Hangouts as your all-purpose
mobile video and calling app, it's hard to believe there's been no
tablet-specific version. Google just rectified that with the release of Duo
versions for both iPad and Android tablets. That could entice some iOS users
with Android friends to switch, as rival app Hangouts is still limited to
Apple's walled garden.
It’s a nice addition, especially since people tend to video
chat at home where tablets are around and a larger screen is appreciated.
