Xiaomi Mi A1 receiving Android 8.1 Oreo with June Android security patch
The Mi A1 is the first Android One smartphone from Chinese
smartphone maker Xiaomi. The phone was launched in September 2017, and is the
company’s first device to officially run on software other than MIUI. The
Xiaomi Mi A1 mobile features a 5.5" (13.97 cm) display with a screen
resolution of Full HD and runs on Android v7.1.2 (Nougat) operating
system. The device is powered by Octa core, 2 GHz, Cortex A53 processor paired
with 4 GB of RAM. As far as the battery is concerned it has 3080 mAh. Over
that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 12 MP camera .
Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope
and Fingerprint sensor. For graphical performance that can make games run
smoothly, this phone has got a Adreno 506 GPU. On board storage is at 64 GB
with the option to expand the memory by Yes Up to 128 GB.

The new update of Xiaomi
Mi A1 getting your device into an Oreo Version. XDA Developers reports
that the software update is 1.1GB in size and rolling out as at OTA update. The
update is being made available to the users via two methods – OTA
(over-the-air) and a Fastboot ROM which the users will need to flash. Notable
changes in Android 8.1 Oreo over Android 8.0 include the ability to see the
battery level on connected Bluetooth devices, as well as notification limiting.
Notably, stock Android is known for being lighter as easier on the system, but
usually depends on the user installing aftermarket apps for functions that a
lot of manufacturer ROMs offer on the system. The new update of Oreo
Version which will gives you a plenty of features. When compared with 8.0,
8.1 brings some minor UI changes for the power menu, an updated launcher, a
SystemUI theme that adapts to your wallpaper's color, as well as a battery
indicator for connected Bluetooth devices. The update also reportedly improves
the phone's sound quality. The phone was
launched back in 2017 on Android Nougat, but received the update to Android 8.0
Oreo earlier this year. It’s taken a while, but the phone is now getting
Android 8.1 Oreo, and that too with the latest Android security patch as well.
Android One devices run on a stock version of the Android UI, and are touted to
receive software updates and new features quickly.
After releasing this Oreo update, some SMS issues are takes place . The update is rolling out in India and Philippines already,
as per several users in these countries. Users have been reporting that the SMS
history wipe bug appears when the Messages app is swiped out from the ‘Recents’
tab for the first time after the update. Xiaomi is yet to release a fix for the
situation.
