Google is yet to reveal anything officially pertaining to the launch date
After Oreo O , Android is ready to launch Android P in this
month. From rumours it may be expected in August 20. Now Android P Beta
versions is runs on major phones, Google Pixel series, OnePlus 6 and Nokia 7 Plus.
However, it has been various beta versions of Android P, as the next version of
Google’s mobile operating system is still in development.
Google unveiled Android P at its Google I/O event in
California on 8 May 2018, saying that the new version of its mobile operating
system is based on three pillars: intelligence, simplicity, and wellbeing. Rumours
have been swirling since the release of the initial Android P beta that it will
be fully named Pistachio. At the start of July Google rolled out the third
version of the Android P beta.
According to the famous leakster Evan Blass, Google will be
officially rolling out Android P on August 20. Blass revealed the information
on his official Twitter account in a cryptic yet fairly obvious manner, by
tweeting a calendar with the letter P on the August 20. A simple P on a
calendar page suggests this will be the date that Google names and releases the
software from beta. Devices currently part of the Android P Beta Program should
get their updates soon after, while we can also expect some devices to release
with Android P out-of-the-box in the same time frame. For now, the name that
the version will be given is still not known, and Google will announce it
alongside the launch. Currently, Pistachio Ice Cream is considered as one of
the prime candidates. There's suggestions that it's Android Pistachio, but a
simple nut isn't enough for us - we think it will be something sweeter.
Google is not officially declared the launch of Android P
Android Oreo was named on Monday 21 August 2017, so it fits
that Google would name Android P on Monday 20 August 2017. While Google hasn’t
released any official date, Android fans are desperately waiting to get Android
P on their smartphone. Android P is the
ninth major version of the software coming to users and is currently in beta
testing ahead of a full debut. The latest iteration of the Google software is
set to bring a number of notable changes that will radically change how Android
users navigate their devices. With smartphones radically dismissing bezels in
favour of all-screen designs a slew of Android have taken on controversial
notches. Android P will offer support for the design compromise in addition to
bringing new gesture-based controls. Google is also aware how important battery
is to users, so Android P features a new Adaptive Battery mode that promises to
radically improve screen-on time for smartphone owners.
Work apps are now in a separate tab inside the launcher. |
Android P will also receive features to limit the amount of
time you spend in apps, and provide visual cues to wind down your usage before
bedtime.

Android P is likely to roll out to the Google Pixel series
first, with the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL most likely to be the first
phones to run the new version of the mobile operating system by Google. While the developer previews of Android P were
initially exclusive to the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL, Google
announced its expansion at I/O 2018 in May and brought the first public beta of
the next Android version to devices that have Project Treble integration. These
include the Essential PH-1, Nokia 7 Plus, OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia
XZ2, Vivo X21, Vivo X21 UD, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.
