The central element of Find X is the motorized camera module that lifts to reveal the dual rear camera setup, and the 3D facial recognition supported front camera system. . The selfie camera array also includes infrared sensor and dot projector similar to Apple’s Face ID for 3D face recognition. It lacks fingerprint sensor. The Oppo Find X bears a dual camera setup on the back. The primary camera has a 20-megapixel sensor and the secondary camera has a 16-megapixel sensor, both with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. On the front, this smartphone gets a 25-megapixel selfie 'AI 3D' camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and back modules are hidden under the motorised slider that opens and closes whenever the camera app is triggered. The Oppo Find X hides both the selfie camera and the rear camera setup. The phone does away with the fingerprint scanner completely and the same can be said about the missing 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Lastly, the smartphone comes with animated 3D emojis called 3D Omoji, which let you choose or create images and mimic your facial expressions in real time - however, this feature appears not to have been brought to India. Find X is the first device in the Indian market with a motorized camera coming right before the Vivo NEX. Though it does raise issues regarding the durability of the motorized component of the device.
