Google
Rolls Out Google One Storage Plans to Everyone
Google One
is Google's storage service that covers Google Drive, Gmail and Photos. Google
launched its new “Google One” cloud storage plans back in May and started
rolling its paid storage customers over to the new service.
Over the
past few months, people with Google Drive paid plans have been upgraded to
Google One. And starting today, people in the U.S. can choose to upgrade to
Google One. Google Drive is a flexible cloud storage solution that works across
multiple platforms. Eventually, Google Drive will be rebranded as Google One
and they will be offering 24/7 support along with more affordable cloud storage
options.
New
subscribers should be able to sign up for One now (or at least very soon) on
the official landing page. Existing Drive storage subscribers should already be
migrated to the new plans. Google One is only available in the US to start, but
it will come to other regions in the not too distant future.
Google One
is publicly available started in the United States, and other countries around
the world should see availability eventually. Users in the states can now
choose to upgrade their existing paid Google Drive plans over to Google One.
As usual,
the first 15GB is free to everyone and the plan starts from US$1.99/month
(RM8.49/month) for 100GB of storage. At the moment, you can even save more if
you pay annually.
Google
One offers you more storage and more benefits.
It’s centered around Google Drive storage, but it also has family
sharing, priority support, and other perks. It’s been a slow rollout for Google
One so far, but now the service is launching widely. If you’re looking for
cheaper online storage plans, Google One is probably your best bet.
Google One
gives you more storage across Drive, Gmail, and Photos. With plenty of space,
your most important memories and files are stored safely in the cloud and
available on all your devices. We've improved the price of some of our plans
and added new plan options, so you can find one that works for you.
As a Google
One member, you can easily get in touch with a team of Google experts 24/7 to
answer your questions—whether you need help recovering a file you accidentally
deleted or want to learn how to use Gmail when you're offline.
With Google
One, you’ll also get extra benefits across Google. We’ve started with credits
on Google Play and deals on hotels found in Google Search. In the coming
months, keep an eye out for Google Store and Google Express benefits and more,
You can
also share your plan with up to five additional family members. That means
simplified storage under one bill, and access to the benefits of Google One.
Apart from
having cheaper storage options, Google One also offers better customer support
plus other extra benefits such as Google Play credits and exclusive deals
through their platform. Google One is now rolling out in the US and it will be
available in other countries later. To be the first to know when Google One is
available in Malaysia, you can opt-in by submitting your email.
Google one Storage Plans
Initially,
Google One will only be available on a limited basis. If you have a paid Drive
storage plan, you’ll be automatically upgraded to Google One over the coming
months.
Google One
plans will start at 100 GB for $1.99, 200 GB for $2.99 and 2 TB for $9.99 per
month, while pricing for plans larger than 2 TB will remain the same. (Existing
1 TB Drive plans will be upgraded to 2 TB at no extra cost.) We're working on
making Google One more widely available.
